[ASCLS Education SA] Call for proposals for 2010 ASCLS Annual Meeting

ASCLS needs your help.  As Chair of CEAC (Continuing Education Advisory
Committee) we are charged with obtaining high quality program
suggestions for the 2011 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.  Please help us
by submitting potential topics for this meeting.

Programs given by speakers who might be sponsored by a company help cut
down on meeting expenses and are always an asset.  In addition, "local"
speakers generally are helpful in that don't require travel expense.
Think East Coast and reasonably close to Atlanta! Programs with detailed
descriptions and complete contact information are also more likely to be
chosen.  Good sources of suggestions might be previous speakers you have
heard, speakers at other meetings or suggestions from other people in
your discipline 

You do not need to speak to your proposed speaker. If you do speak with
a proposed speaker, simply ask if they would be interested, but that the
proposed program will have to go to the committee, and they (the
speaker), will be contacted by the committee if the presentation is
chosen. Please make sure they understand that until they hear from the
committee they should not assume their presentation has been selected.
Please check the appropriate box on the proposal form. This is the only
way we will know to contact a speaker if the program is not selected. 

All programs should be Intermediate or Advanced.  The emphasis is on
"cutting edge".  Look for speakers that are at the top of their game and
are interesting.  All programs are due by August 20th.   

I have attached an electronic copy of the form for your convenience.
Once you have completed the proposal forms, please email them to Joan
Polancic (joanp at ascls.org).  You do not need to copy me as Joan will
forward them to me.  Once I receive all the proposals, everyone will be
asked to rank the proposals
