The Program in Clinical Laboratory Sciences in the Center for Allied Health
Programs at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities invites applications for
a full-time tenure track faculty position and administrative appointment as
Program Director. The Twin Cities metropolitan area enjoys an outstanding
reputation as an urban environment that consistently ranks among the top
tier of the most desirable places to live in the United States. The program
at the University of Minnesota is the oldest continuously accredited program
in the nation and offers an exciting blended learning curriculum model using
emerging technologies.
The Center for Allied Health Programs, in which the program is housed, is a
statewide resource aimed at developing innovative partnerships within
education and industry that will address Minnesota's growing workforce
shortages in the health professions. Responsibilities of the program
director include academic administration, teaching, advising, faculty and
curriculum development, and service to the university and community.
Qualifications include an earned doctorate, administrative experience,
demonstrated leadership ability, university teaching experience,
demonstrated expertise with the NAACLS accreditation process, and
familiarity with current laboratory procedures. The successful applicant
will help lead the program in its interactions with other state laboratory
sciences programs as part of an evolving consortium of programs using hybrid
learning platforms and multiple performance sites emphasizing technology
enhanced learning. Applicants must hold United States generalist
certification as MT (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) and document eligibility to work in
the United States. Salary and rank will be commensurate with education and
experience.
