[ASCLS Education SA] CLEC 2008 reminder from host committee

Dear Conference attendees,

We are very excited to host the 2008 Clinical Laboratory Educators
Conference (CLEC). CLEC is the most important forum for all those
involved in clinical laboratory science education. These are a few last
minute reminders:

 

Transportation:

*	If you are flying to Savannah, the airport is very friendly.
Upon landing, proceed to the lower level for baggage claim and ground
transportation. We recommend using Magikal Taxi and Shuttle Service for
ground transportation from the airport to the hotel.  They have several
vans that hold 10 or more people and vans that hold 6-7 people. The rate
is $10.00 per person for 2 or more people.  Earlier reservations can be
made at 912-897-8294 or the taxis will be outside the airport.  All
drivers will know about the rate and will help attendees with their
bags.  You should tell the taxi driver you are with CLEC Convention.

 

*         If you are driving, Savannah is easily accessible by two major
thoroughfares, I-95 (north-south) and I-16 (east-west). Please use the
hotel's website for driving directions

Weather:
We ordered beautiful weather for the conference. Temperatures are
expected to be in the upper 60's to mid 70's with lows in the 50's and a
small chance for scattered showers. So, bring a light jacket and small
umbrella.
